30X14

You know how when you're just feeling really good and happy and want to work out even more? Something about the endorphins are running wild and you just feel so good you want to work out? Has that ever happened to you? Well, I'm there.

Also, you know when you're just having a busy week and don't know if you can get a workout in? Well, I'm there too.

I didn't make it to the gym this morning!! And I know I will be hearing it tomorrow from everyone from my bus driver, to the people working at the Y, to the fellow gym-goers. Also, I can't do it after work. But that does NOT mean I did not get my 30 minutes. I just couldn't live up to the shame if I didn't do this.

Danie and I went for a walk today at lunch, which was really nice, once again. The weather was perfect, I love walking down along the river. There was a group of school kids on a field trip. It's just really nice to get out and be outside and away from the office.

I'm digging this lunchtime walk and even though it isn't nearly the cardiovascular workout I would have liked, it's still moving, and that's all I asked for this month!

So, what is the point of this? I know we're all busy, I hear you. I'm busy too, but there's always time to get in a mere 30 minutes. At least for this one month.

And c'mon! The weather is warming up. The sun is shining. You should be feeling good right now. Maybe you faltered a few days this month, but that's okay. You know what you need to do. So do it!

I'm 4 for 4 at the gym this week. I've been there no later than 6:05am every morning!! One more day and then a well deserved...extra couple hours of sleep...NOT a day off! :)

  2. the knowing wht i need to do and doing it can be so opposite sometime. i was not so great monday, tuesday, or wednesday and just counted the dog walking. HOWEVER, I did ramp it up on Thursday since the weather was warmer. I went to an outdoor bootcamp that involved running up 5th and tredegar and then byrd ave(straight hill!!). Friday I won the rollercoaster part of the buttermilk trail and today i ran 7 miles!
A thought for a wellness shot though, try to do something that has interested you but feel like you can't or haven't just tried. an example for me is i would love to be able to do pullups, so I bought a pullup bar and have been attempting to do pullups. I can do 2 chinups and about 5 assisted pullups! goal is to do 10 straight pullups!

  3. CJ!!! Awesome! You are really doing great! And that's right!! No day off, just maybe a treat for some extra sleep! It's hard getting up early, but I find it just starts the day off so much better!!

Tan - that's all you can do is if you have a few off days, just turn it around! U-turn time! What is this you winning the rollercoaster part of the buttermilk trail? Anyways, good job on the 7 miles! How's the marathon training going! You are going to rock at Shamrock!! And I totally can't do a pullup! Yikes! The fact that you can even do a chinup is SUPER impressive to me!! Go on with your bad self!

Anyways, you're both doing GREAT!! xoxo
